TPPL workers complete fundraising challenge

22 March 2022

As part TPPL’s annual charity support programme,  the company has donated to two incredible charities – Neuroendocrine Cancer and The BillyChip Foundaton; both of which have been nominated by our staff.

In addition, we worked collectively as a team to supplement the business donations, by carrying out an exercise challenge with individuals taking part, fundraising through JustGiving.

From 1st September 2021 – 28th February 2022, fourteen of our passionate employees worked collectively to reach 5000 miles through walking, cycling and jogging/running, exceeding our initial target of 4008 miles!

Given that we are all busy people in our daily work and personal lives, we are incredibly proud of our team for coming together and completing this challenge, which was largely conducted throughout the long, dark and cold months of winter!

Our first selected charity –  Neuroendocrine Cancer UK exists to address the unmet needs voiced by the Neuroendocrine Cancer community. They support all affected by Neuroendocrine Cancer, to help and inform patients and families from diagnosis, enabling access to the best care and treatment, whilst stimulating Neuroendocrine Cancer research, increasing national awareness and influencing improvements in outcomes.  Find out how to donate here

Our second nominated charity is The BillyChip Foundation, a unique safe and secure platform which allows the public to directly donate to rough sleepers without the fear of their donation being miss used for drugs or alcohol. The recipient can safely redeem a BillyChip in coffee shops and takeaways for food and drink. This platform was  invented by Billy Abernethy-Hope, a twenty year old ambulance driver from Bristol. Sadly, Billy died before the scheme was launched by his family in his memory. Find out how to donate here

James Brennan, TPPL Director commented:

‘As a public sector procurement solutions provider, we are in a fortunate position to make a positive impact on communities locally and throughout the UK. We are proud to come together as a business to passionately support these projects which align with our company values’.

With the public’s support and donations from the business, we have raised £4,347.00 in donations, towards our target of £5,000.00, and would like to thank everybody who has contributed.
