Following events hosted for our members in Scotland and the South of England towards the end of 2022, we are delighted to report that our first Fleet Forum of 2023 for members in the North of England, was a huge success.
Hosted at St. Helens Town Hall, more than 25 Procurement and Fleet Managers attended representing 16 different Local Authorities from the Northwest of England. TPPL personnel, namely Mick Martin and John Lomax, were supported by Faun Zoeller, Ulemco, HSS hire, Ford Motor Co. Motus and Aebi Schmidt, who each provided static vehicle/equipment demonstrations on a range of electric and zero emission technologies, including St. Helens council very own ground-breaking hydrogen refuse vehicle.
The topics addressed included hydrogen vehicles, supply, and refuelling infrastructure, TPPL frameworks and updates, hydrogen hybrid conversions and introducing all electric machinery into grounds maintenance provision.
