Ongo Homes is the largest housing provider in the Greater Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire area. They offer 11,000 affordable homes for rent and sale. They started in 2007 as North Lincolnshire Homes. Later, they became Ongo Homes in 2012. This change occurred when their communities voted for them to become regulated as a social housing provider.

Commitment to Residents

One of their commitments to their residents is to ‘be a great landlord’. This involves focusing on their homes being in the best shape, meaning safe, secure and in good repair. In their aim to do so, Ongo Homes have recently awarded their materials supply contract to Jewson Partnership Solutions. This partnership ensures the enhancement and efficiency of the association’s repair services. Jewson would be able to provide materials needed to support their day-to-day repairs. It also aids their investment programmes.

Operational Insights

Recently, Wayne Hinds, our Building Materials-specialist BDM, visited the site to gain firsthand insight into its operations. The two organisations established the site together through their strong partnership under TPPL and NEPO’s Building Materials & Modular Buildings DPS. During his visit, Wayne observed the team efficiently stocking their new vans with the right products. Consequently, he noted that this approach helps to ensure high first-time fix rates for tenants, ultimately enhancing service quality and customer satisfaction. Ongo Homes’ Head of Commercial, Lee Coulson, praised the outcome and said;

“As a result of working with TPPL via the NEPO Building Material DPS, ONGO were supported to engage with the material suppliers and run a further competition to ensure a comprehensive test of the market was conducted.

The process resulted with two successful suppliers being appointed to support our requirements: City Electrical Factors and Jewson Partnership Solutions.

The support and expertise provided by TPPL assisted ONGO with a compliant solution-based material offer leading to high first-time fix rates, and minimal downtime for our operatives. ”
