The UK Government has unveiled its updated National Procurement Policy Statement which will take effect on 24th February 2025.
The policy aims to ensure that public procurement delivers maximum value for money while driving economic growth, sustainability, and social benefits by placing an emphasis on innovation, fair employment, and environmental responsibility, the government seeks to further streamline the procurement processes across the public sector. By adopting these new procurement policies, the government aims to strengthen the economy, promote sustainability, and create long-term social benefits.
TPPL remains committed to ensuring a smooth transition for its members while maintaining full compliance with both existing and new procurement regulations.
All current TPPL framework solutions tendered before 24th February 2025 will continue to operate under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (‘the old regulations’). Any future solutions tendered after this date will be done so in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023.
This means that competitions and contracts awarded under our PCR2015 frameworks will remain compliant in accordance with ‘The Procurement Act 2023 (Commencement No. 3 and Transitional and Saving Provisions) Regulations 2024’ until their stated end dates.
