Bus and Coach Purchase Framework Extension [UPDATE]

7 August 2025

We have recently extended the popular TPPL and Bath & Northeast Somerset (BNES) Bus and Coach Purchase Framework, TPPLBNES03 until the 31st December 2025. The framework, procured in partnership with BNES went live in August 2021 and was due to expire in August 2025.

The extension provides buyers with the opportunity to continue accessing the solution whilst it’s replacement is tendered and mobilised. The Framework has proved hugely popular with buyers due to the diverse range of appointed suppliers and flexibility it provides during call-off. The Framework has been instrumental in supporting local authorities to procure a variety of passenger transport vehicles. Applications from single wheelchair occupant WAV’s to 67 seated hydrogen fuel cell double decked buses have been commissioned to support public services.

Additionally, this extension provides adequate time for drafting of the replacement framework, due to launch in December 2025 under the Procurement Act 2023, procured in partnership with Commercial Services Kent Limited. The new Framework tender is due to be published in August 2025, and available to members before expiry of the existing solution, in December 2025.
