The Procurement Partnership (TPPL) launched its new Building Materials Framework, in partnership with STAR Procurement in May 2025. The Framework scope expands on building material categories currently available via the existing TPPL NEPO219 Building Materials and Modular Buildings DPS.
In addition to traditional merchanting goods and services, the expanded framework scope includes Kitchens under lot Five. 5 market-leading suppliers have been appointed, providing organisations with excellent coverage.
For ease of access, a separate web page for this lot has been created. The following solutions are accessible via the new lot:
The suppliers were selected based on a range of qualitative criteria, including their approach to supporting the variety of member supply requirements, e.g. large-scale investment/capital works programmes, ad hoc repairs and voids. Suppliers were also required to outline their approaches to managing obsolescence, carbon zero, ensuring materials are ethically sourced, and their range of added value services.
Members can benefit from the ability to call off directly from the framework, saving time and resource. Direct award options have been added to our frameworks to ensure easy, compliant access for public sector buyers with tight deadlines.
When asked about his thoughts on this new lot, Wayne Hinds, our Building Materials-specialist Business Development Manager, commented, “The new framework and Kitchen LOT represents a shift towards a more collaborative and strategic approach to kitchen procurement. TPPL and our suppliers share a vision for quality, efficiency and demonstrable value for money for our members. We believe that we can not only achieve cost savings but deliver superior kitchen facilities that genuinely serve our communities for year to come.”
James Brennan, Managing Director, added, “The addition of a lot scoped specifically for kitchens provides extra choice within the building material sector to meet our member requirements. With 5 leading kitchen suppliers appointed, the lot offers registered providers choice and quality for upcoming refit programmes.“
