Following the recent announcement from the UK government bringing forward the ban of sales for new petrol and diesel engine cars and vans to 2030, we would like to remind you that all TPPL Vehicle Framework Agreements are scoped to include Electric, LPG – Liquid Petroleum Gas, Hydrogen & all Bio Fuel mixtures, in addition to conventionally fuelled petrol, diesel and hybrid vehicles.
We continue to develop our Framework Agreements to provide our members with innovative, future proofed solutions, suitable for the rapidly evolving fleet industry. To this end, we would like to share our latest exciting development with you, which is our new Heavy Goods and Specialist Vehicle Procurement Framework, tendered in partnership with the North East Procurement Organisation (NEPO).
We have extended the scope following the extremely successful current TPPL and NEPO HGV Framework, to include an innovative new solution for members enabling them to have pre-existing vehicle chassis’ converted from conventionally fuelled to Electric and Hydrogen Fuel Cell drivetrains. The solution will be available to members from 04th January 2021, with a maximum of 10 suppliers appointed to the lot. We already have a number of members waiting to access the solution, which will provide them with a cost effective solution enabling them to meet carbon reduction targets.
